Writing Learning Goals and Objectives

Specific, measurable eLearning goals help in the design of effective learning. Learners may have different levels of knowledge, skills, and experience before taking an eLearning course. 

To create clear learning goals (also called learning objectives), consider what you want your learners to know and/or be able to do after completing the eLearning course. 

Clear goals guide course designers on how to measure:

• when training is successful, and
• whether each learner has successfully met the goals.
