General eligibility information:

Eligibility information can be found here under: WorkLife Support > Education Benefits

Application information:

The DCT policy and process, as it stands for each hospital and member organization, remains the same. Johns Hopkins Care at Home and Suburban Hospital employees will continue to process submissions in-house. All other JHHS employees can submit through Ebix by visiting hopkinsbenefits.org. Click here for a job aid on how to submit through Ebix.

The JHHS benefits team continues to work with leaders to bring the right enhancements to the DCT program so it can be included in the second phase of myTuition after the spring semester.

Documentation information:

  1. For the first application:
    1. Proof of relationship is required. Birth certificate for the child(ren). If the parent’s name is different on the birth certificate other documentation may need to be provided, such as a marriage license or court document that shows the change of name.
  2. All documents from the college/university must have the student’s full name and school name/letterhead listed
  3. Other required documents:
    1. Itemized bill separating out the cost of tuition and fees. The application will not be processed without an itemized bill.
    2. Financial Aid detail specific to the academic term with the amount of aid, and how it will be applied. If aid is for tuition only or housing only it must be documented.

If the type of aid identifying what it is for is not documented it will be processed and reflected as tuition aid which will reduce the reimbursement eligibility amount.

  1. Enrollment schedule, detailing the course start and end date, the course name, and the number of credits.

Note: All documents, aside from proof of relationship, should be printed from the school portal or provided on letterhead from the school. If a letter is provided on school letterhead, the preparer’s name and contact information need to be listed.

The best suggestion for obtaining the documents in the correct format is from the student portal:

  1. Find the tab/screen you need and right-click your mouse
  2. Select print and set the printer to “save a PDF”
  3. Select settings/options to include headers & footers
  4. Save the file. You will be prompted to save it on your computer and can easily upload it when submitting the tuition application.
